ISCSI

ISCSI (Internet SCSI) es un mecanismo para compartir dispositivos pero a nivel de hardware. En otras palabras, se monta un disco por la red pero como si fuera SCSI.

 Kernel 2.6 preferiblemente

1. Descargue el paquete, descomprima, compile e instale iscsitarget-0.4.15.tar.gz

2. Edite el archivo de configuracion /etc/ietd.conf
He aqui el gran problema .. realmente . no mucho .. se anexa un ejemplo, en el cual se comparte una particion y no se usa contraseña.

3. Confirme que levante al inicio iscsi-target


** Si quiere configurar con FreeNAS lo mejor .. http://doc.freenas.org/index.php/ISCSI

yum install iscsi-initiator-utils

apt-get install open-iscsi

iscsiadm -m discovery -t sendtargets -p 192.168.8.212    ( puede usar tambien 192.168.8.212:3260)

/etc/init.d/iscsi restart

fdisk -l

tail -f /var/log/messages

Debe presentarse como un disco comun y corriente. Se puede particionar, formatear y todo.

/dev/sdb1 /mnt/iscsi ext3 _netdev 0 0

mount -a

Aunque como es dinamico es chevere usar LABEL=..
